Upgrade prevents pump damage
due to excessive back pressure caused by conditions like thermal
expansion.
Many PMV oil pumps are installed
in systems that are at high risk forexcessive thermal expansion
pressure. High risk systems have long supply lines that carry the oil
through various temperature ranges. An example would be a system pumping
55oF oil from an underground tank through a room that may be 75oF at
ground level but may be 90oF or higher across the ceiling runs. Thermal
expansion can easily generate 5000 PSI against the pump or other
components that would normally see no more than 1000 PSI. The heart of
the PMV pump was taken directly from Lincoln’s PowerMaster ®
III family of pumps. PowerMaster®
have long been the choice for the most
severe operating conditions. With
this upgrade Lincoln has adapted the outlet check feature from the
PowerMaster ®
pump line to prevent these excessive pressures from reaching the PMV
pumps. The high flow ˝” NPT check is easily installed between the pump
outlet and the fluid hose.

Lincoln New Heavy Duty PMV
Pumps
 |
Lincoln has introduced its new line of PMV Lubrication
Pumps.
Featuring a unique, modular
design, these pumps provide exceptional
performance, long service life and low cost of ownership.
Offered in 3-inch and
4.25-inch diameters, the PMV Pumps are available in oil and grease models
for
stationary installations, as well as portable applications.
The PMV line combines decades of Lincoln design leadership with advanced
materials and
manufacturing techniques to offer a superior pump with distinct
advantages. Its patent-pending
design features a minimum of internal components,
eliminating the complexity found in other pumps
and reducing the risk for
breakdowns and expensive repairs.
Operating without external lubrication, the PMV line is not sensitive to the
wet, dirty air found in
many shops and plants. The PMV Pump seals are compatible
with a wide range of natural and
synthetic lubricants and offer outstanding
resistance to wear.
